Update for October 1st
A very brief update for October 1st because I want to go to sleep, and most people know what happened anyway.
You can view the map here: map.ukrdailyupdate.com
First, yesterday I said I didn’t have confirmation that Ukraine captured Tavilzhanka, Petropavlivka, or Kurylivka yet, although I figured they had. Well, confirmation came out yesterday, and I missed it.
Second, Ukraine liberated Lyman and at least the majority of Zarichne. Russia suffered extreme casualties when it lost this area. Russians have withdrawn to Kreminna, although it remains unclear whether they will be able to defend it. I am unsure about the current status of Torske.
Third, Ukraine launched attacks across Kherson, attacking Davydiv Brid from multiple angles and south from Petrivka and Osokorivka. The status of these attacks is uncertain.

A Russian had a runway excursion at Belbek airport in Crimea. Unfortunately for the pilots, it went off the end of the runway and exploded. Presumably, the plane malfunctioned after takeoff and crashed during an emergency landing.

There is a large fire reportedly coming from the Belbek airfield in Crimea home to Russia’s 27th Composite Aviation Division. https://t.co/b5taLaor7W pic.twitter.com/uZWvaMTAeT
